libboost-mpi1.54.0 software package provides C++ interface to the Message Passing Interface (MPI), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libboost-mpi1.54.0
libboost-mpi1.54.0 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libboost-mpi1.54.0 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libboost-mpi1.54.0 *
